Menno studied International Business Law (LLM) and Business Studies (MSc) in Amsterdam, Tilburg and Singapore. After his studies, he started working at Philips in various roles in M&A and business management. Then Menno joined Vlisco to set up and expand the online business (B2C and B2B) of the textile manufacturer from the south of the Netherlands. Eventually, as a board member, he was responsible for the online business and marketing activities of Vlisco Group.

Inspired by the energy Menno gained from the transformation projects at Vlisco, he joined Egeria as responsible for the digitalization of Egeria's portfolio companies. There he led digital transformation projects in various types of business operations (including IT, production, wholesale, B2C retail, e-commerce, staffing).

Driven by the potential he sees in the Dutch manufacturing and trading industry, Menno joined forces with Gert Jan in Transformation Capital. The shared goal is to help companies accelerate through digital technology and customer-focused working in a cooperative model with management. Menno gets energy from getting organizations moving and is driven to put the power of technology to work.

Gert Jan Hubers

Gert Jan Hubers

Gert Jan studied Petroleum Engineering at TU Delft and subsequently earned an MBA at Harvard Business School. After working as a consultant for Booz Allen & Hamilton, Gert Jan joined the Wolters Schaberg Group, where he was responsible for various turnarounds in their industrial and retail activities. He then founded Gietburg Holding, a supplier of engine parts and components. By applying a co-makership strategy with producers of iron and aluminum parts, the company developed into a manufacturer of components for leading players in the automotive industry.

Additionally, Gert Jan is a partner at Nimbus and in that role has gained extensive experience over the past 25 years in improving companies that were typically struggling at the outset. Gert Jan gets energy from helping management improve business performance and from collaborating with driven people who want to be part of a winning team.

Gert Jan sees the potential that the digital world holds for the Dutch manufacturing and trading industry and is highly motivated to play a leading role in this with Transformation Capital.

Mika Bots

Mika Bots

Mika combines a technical background in aerospace engineering with extensive experience in venture capital, private equity and strategy consulting. His career is characterized by a strong analytical approach, hands-on leadership and a passion for technology and innovation.

Before joining Transformation Capital, Mika was CFO at Superlab Suisse in Zurich, a high-end, flexible laboratory concept. There he led the pre-Series A financing, built all financial systems and launched a digital platform strategy. Previously, he worked as Investment Manager at Cape Capital, focusing on Series B+ investments in European and American growth companies, and as Senior Associate at EY-Parthenon, where he advised companies on M&A and growth strategies.

Mika holds a Master's in Aerospace Engineering from Delft University of Technology and combines strategic and financial expertise with operational leadership.

Outside of work, he is active in kitesurfing, skiing, diving, chess and trail running. Mika speaks fluent Dutch, English, German and Finnish.

Sophie Frohn

Sophie Frohn

Sophie Frohn studied International Business Administration (RSM) and then obtained a master's in Sustainability (RSM) and a double master's degree in Strategic Management & Global Commerce (ESADE, Sun Yat-sen University, and University of Virginia). This combination reflects her broad interest in both societal impact and the purposeful functioning of businesses. After her studies, Sophie started her career as Strategy Consultant at Metyis, where she advised companies at the intersection of data analytics and growth strategy. She then worked as an investment analyst at Foreman Capital, a private equity fund focused on mid-market companies, gaining experience in financial analysis, due diligence and portfolio strengthening.

In her current role as Operations Manager at Transformation Capital, Sophie combines her strategic and financial background with operational execution. She is involved in the full investment process — from analyzing new propositions and coordinating due diligence to supporting portfolio companies in realizing their growth plans. She also focuses on optimizing internal processes and guiding companies through their transformative phases. With her connecting style and analytical approach, she contributes to sustainable value creation within and beyond the organization.

What continues to fascinate her is how companies can successfully move toward long-term value creation by tackling tomorrow's challenges with technology and innovation. Sophie gets energy from collaborating with driven people and building strong teams. She believes that sustainable impact can only be achieved through open communication, shared goals and leveraging each other's strengths.

Jeroen Slor

Jeroen Slor

Jeroen is an entrepreneurial full-stack developer with over 15 years of experience building end-to-end solutions. He combines deep knowledge of both front- and backend technologies with an entrepreneurial mindset. Where Jeroen truly excels is developing AI applications that help SME businesses grow faster and smarter. He transforms complex technology into practical solutions that directly contribute to scalability, efficiency and customer focus.

At Transformation Capital, Jeroen's strength lies in developing smart AI solutions that automate processes, deepen business insights and unlock new growth opportunities. He connects strategy and technology, ensuring that innovative ideas don't stay on the shelf but make tangible impact.

Jeroen brings rich experience from various organizations where technology played a decisive role in innovation and growth. He co-founded and served as CTO of Expertwired, a venture-backed startup he built from scratch, financed and scaled to a team of 15. He also held leading development roles at international organizations such as IKEA and Nike, where he delivered innovative digital products and platforms that significantly improved user experience and operational capability. Most recently, as CTO at Sonic Equipment, he played a key role in the organization's digital transformation.

Jeroen sees AI not as an end in itself, but as a means to help entrepreneurs and teams move forward faster. He gets energy from challenging projects, building innovative products from scratch and growing organizations with smart technology.

Shaped in part by his experiences as a professional basketball player, Jeroen is goal-oriented and has the drive to win as a team.
